Advert Tracking - Parameter Definitions

When you setup your advert tracking, you will notice a large amount of dynamic parameters you can include. Please reference the definition tables below as you define what parameters you want passed in your tracking.

Ad Set & Advert Naming Parameters

Within the Advert Tracking section of the platform, you can define the naming conventions for all Ad Sets and Adverts created in StitcherAds. These names can then be passed through your URL Parameters so you can track through your analytics or internal systems. The parameters available with Ad Set and Advert names are:

ADGROUP_NUM An integer assigned to the advert in the order it is created 1, 2, 3, etc Only available in advert name template
ADSET_NUM An integer assigned to the adset in the order it is created 1, 2, 3, etc Only available in adset name template
PRODUCT_SET_NAME The name you have given your Dynamic Product Ad product set e.g. "Products >£500" In non DPA ads, we do not add this value
COUNTRIES The ISO code for the country or countries you have targeted e.g. "GB" or in the case of multiple "GB, US"  
PLACEMENT The placement of the advert Any of the following: "Desktopfeed", "Mobilefeed", "Rightcolumn", "Mobileexternal"  
MOBILE_OS The mobile operating system targeted e.g. "iOS" or "Android" or "iOS 6"  
DEVICE The targeted device e.g. "iPhone" or "iPad" or "iPod Touch"  
WIRELESS_CARRIER The wireless carrier targeted e.g. "Wifi"  
GENDER The gender you have targeted Either "Male" or "Female" Not added if you target male and female together
OPTIMIZATION_GOAL The optimisation goal of your advert e.g. "Offsite conversions", "Link clicks", "Impressions", "Reach"  
BILLING_EVENT The billing event of your advert e.g. "Impressions", "Link clicks"  
CUSTOM_AUDIENCE_NAME The name of custom audience that the advert is targeted at e.g "Lapsed Customers 2014" When a custom audience is not use, we do not add this value
PRODUCT_AUDIENCE_NAME The name you have given your Dynamic Product Ad product audience e.g. "Viewed 7, ATC 10, Excl Checkout 180"  
CAMPAIGN_NAME The name of your campaign Prospecting Mar 2015  
GENDER_SHORT A short version of the gender targeted Either "M" or "F" Not added if you target male and female together
CITIES The city or cities you have targeted e.g. "London" or in the case of multiple "London, Manchester, Leeds"  
AGE The age range e.g. "13-65"  
AGE_MIN The minimum age you have targeted e.g. "13" or "16"  
AGE_MAX The maximum age you have targeted e.g. "55" or "65+"  
CAMPAIGN_ID The Facebook campaign ID    
INTEREST The interest(s) that you have targeted e.g. "Skiiing" or in the case of multiple "Skiing, Snowboarding, Sledging"  
IMAGE_NAME The label/tracking tag you have given the image in the create flow e.g. "redbowl" or "table1"  
MESSAGE_NAME The label/tracking tag you have given the message in the create flow e.g. "xmassaleCTA" or "newcustoffer"  
HEADLINE_NAME The label/tracking tag you have given the headline in the create flow e.g. "CTA" or "stock1"  
CAROUSEL_IMAGE_NAME The label/tracking tag you have given the group of images in the carousel ad create flow e.g. "variety" or "redbowls"  
CAROUSEL_NAME_NAME The label/tracking tag you have given the name in the carousel ad create flow    
CAROUSEL_DESCRIPTION_NAME The label/tracking tag you have given the description in the carousel ad create flow    
CAROUSEL_LINK_NAME The label/tracking tag you have given the link in the carousel ad create flow    
CAROUSEL_MESSAGE_NAME The label/tracking tag you have given the message in the carousel ad create flow    
CAPTION_NAME The label/tracking tag you have given the caption in the create flow    
DATE The date the ad was created e.g. "16-OCT-2015" Formatted DD-MMM-YYYY
YEAR The year the ad was created e.g. "2015"  
MONTH The month the ad was created e.g. "Sep", "Oct", "Nov", etc  
DAY The day the ad was created e.g. "Mon", "Tue", "Wed", etc.  
TIME The time the ad was created e.g. "20:25" or "08:25" 24hr format of HH:MM

URL Parameters
URL Parameters are dynamic parameters that can be used to track the performance of your targeting options in your analytics tool (eg Google Analytics).

As StitcherAds creates targeting variations of adverts, it allows you to add parts of the targeting as a URL parameter. This is so you are able to attribute back to the specific advert or ad set in your site analytics.

The following parameters are available:

Device {{device}} desktop, iphone, ipad, android_phone, android_tablet 
Gender {{gender}}  male, female
Country {{country}} ISO standard e.g. UK, US, DE
Age Range {{age_range}} Range you specified e.g. 18-30, 31-45 or 18-65 if you don't specify an age range
Targeting Group {{targeting_group}} Name of your saved targeting group
Ad Generated Date {{ad_generated_date}} The date you created your advert in format ddmmyyyy
Ad Set name {{adset_name}}

The name of the ad set as you've defined under the Advert Naming section

Advert Name {{adgroup_name}}

The name of the advert as you've defined under the Advert Naming section
